Celebrates The Arts

Kennesaw State University's Bailey Performance Center receives a ringing endorsement from Donald Runnicles. Recently, Mr. Runnicles, Principal Guest Conductor of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and one of the world's leading musicians, performed with the Atlanta Symphony Brass Quintet at KSU's BPC. After his performance, Mr. Runnicles stated "The Bailey Performance Center is simply a gorgeous instrument--as any musician relishes the unlimited scope of a special instrument, so any performing ensemble will celebrate the warm and vibrant acoustic and atmosphere this exciting new hall affords.
The Bailey Performance Center is a Georgia jewel."

Columbus State University's Corn Center for the Visual Arts receives a SCUP/AIA-CAE Honor Award. The downtown arts complex was awarded the 2008 Excellence in Architecture for Building Additions Honor Award. The jury said, "This project creates a reason to come and remain downtown. The overall site plan provides great aspirations for the future."

The project was also featured in the July 2008 College Planning & Management Magazine.
